This version of Ulo is more compact and uniform than typical layered styles, offering firmer chunks with a dry exterior and a mild inner flake. Its taste leans into earthiness with a whisper of smokiness and a faint finish reminiscent of rain hitting asphalt or sun-warmed soil. The texture is satisfyingly hard with a crisp initial bite, followed by a subtly waxy, clay-rich crumble that doesn’t overwhelm the palate. While less smoky than other Ulo types, this batch still offers that signature grounded profile—perfect for those who prefer a mellow, consistent crunch without heavy layering.
