Product Overview

Red Nakumatt Clay features roasted chunks made from 100% authentic Indian Nakumatt clay, celebrated for its mineral richness and bold earthy intensity. These firm, naturally broken pieces showcase deep red and brown tones that reflect the clay’s high iron content and traditional roasting process.

Each chunk delivers a dry, gritty crunch with a strong sensory character. The flavour is powerful and grounded, combining warm topsoil notes with cement-like minerals, subtle metallic hints and a faint asphalt-like undertone. For those who enjoy hard, crumbly clays with an industrial-earthy personality, Red Nakumatt offers a deeply satisfying crunch experience.

Texture & Crunch

These chunks are very hard with a dry, crumbly structure. The bite is crisp and gritty, producing a sharp roasted crunch that breaks into coarse earthy fragments.

Taste & Aroma

The flavour profile is topsoil-forward with strong cement-like mineral depth and subtle metallic notes. A light asphalt-like undertone adds complexity, creating a bold and atmospheric clay taste.

Clay Experience

Red Nakumatt is known for its strong mineral presence and distinctive roasted character. The roasting process intensifies both the clay’s aroma and hardness, producing a robust crunch and a flavour reminiscent of iron-rich soil, warm earth and rain-damp stone.

We highly recommend using our stash boxes, available on the website — designed specifically to protect and organise your clay collection with ease.
