Details
Sunflower Clay is an understated gem — a beautifully balanced edible clay with a clean crunch and a smooth, creamy finish. Naturally harvested from mineral-rich Indian soil, then cleaned and sun-dried, this clay delivers a firm, crisp snap on the first bite before breaking down into a thick, velvety paste. The texture is dusty and crumbly at first, yet softens smoothly without grit or gumminess, making it both satisfying and easy to enjoy.
Its flavour profile is gentle but distinctive: earthy and cementy with soft topsoil and dirt undertones, touched by subtle nutty notes reminiscent of sunflower seeds. Think Almond Clay meets grey Nakumatt — but without the smokiness. There’s a pleasant dusty dryness, hints of sand, and a clean petrichor freshness that lingers lightly. Sunflower Clay is one of those quietly exceptional varieties, loved by those who appreciate nuanced earth flavours and a refined, creamy breakdown.

Storage Tips
To keep your clays and treats fresh, crunchy, and full of flavour, always store them in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from moisture, humidity, and strong odours. Exposure to air or dampness can alter both texture and taste.
We highly recommend using our stash boxes, available on the website — designed specifically to protect and organise your clay collection with ease.
Handling Guidelines
- clean, dry hands
Fragility Disclaimer
All clay treats and terracotta pot products are handmade and naturally fragile, making them susceptible to breakage during delivery.
While we take great care in packing each item securely, minor cracks, chips, or crumbled pieces may occur. This is a natural part of working with handcrafted clays and does not affect taste or enjoyment.
